Howdy!
When I started researching alternative investment, I found crypto, single family homes, the stock market - but, I wanted something safer, something that felt true to my heart and soul.
After some searching, a quote came to me:
"There are three paths to freedom in this world:
The path of the monk, who answers only to the divine and needs nothing material.
The path of extreme wealth, where abundance grants liberation from all worldly constraints.
And the path of the farmer, who by working the land becomes sovereign over their food, shelter, and essential needs.
Few will achieve great wealth.
Fewer still can walk the monk's path of renunciation.
But the farmer's path - the path of self-sufficiency through communion with the land - this path remains open to all who would take it."
And that quote led me to the idea of farming, where we all started.
I was shocked by how much I didn't know.
I want to share my discoveries with you as I continue learning - because honestly, this information should be common knowledge. So here’s what I’ve learned so far…
🤑 The Great Land Transfer: A Once-in-a-Generation $23T Opportunity 🤑
👨🌾 The Situation

Over next 20 years, estimated $23T in farmland and agricultural assets will change hands
Largest wealth transfer in US agricultural history

Many farm families haven't planned for generational transfer
Young farmers face high barriers to entry
Market Forces
Corporate consolidation threatens family farms
Rising land prices create accessibility challenges
Environmental concerns drive demand for sustainable farming
Opportunities
New farmers can acquire established operations
Innovation potential in sustainable agriculture
Investment opportunities in farmland and infrastructure
Government programs support new farmer entry
🥕 Impact Areas

Environmental stewardship
This transfer represents both risk and opportunity.
Success requires careful planning, policy support, and connecting experienced farmers with the next generation of agricultural entrepreneurs.
I want to be a part of that, I want to find the gold in the hills and share that with you, here.
So, let’s start with what I have learned today.
I discovered the USDA has offices in EVERY county, staffed by people whose job is to help us (yes, us!) own land. Even better - you don't need farming experience or a fancy business plan to get started.
🤯 Here's what blew my mind 🤯
I qualified for USDA loans with zero farming experience
I found special banks like Farm Credit that actually want to help first-time landowners
I'm getting tax breaks I never knew existed
📩 Let's Learn Together
I'm still discovering new programs and opportunities every week.
Want to join me on this journey?
I'll be sharing everything I learn about:
Getting loans as a complete beginner
Finding tax advantages in your state
Connecting with local USDA resources
Learning about different types of farming
Homesteading
Investment vehicles
Deep dives
Case studies
Expert opinions
Mushroom farming
Community ownership
and so much more
The system is actually set up to help us all become landowners - we just need to learn how to use it.
Join me on my journey - trust me, it’s gonna be a ride!
